Hello,

superlativ in english is the equivalent of “le plus...” or “le moins” in french.

If you want to say “le plus“, you’re going to write “the most + adjective“ or “the best + adjective = le meilleur.

if you want to say “le moins“, you’re going to say “the least + adjective“ or “the worst“ = le pire

the + worst/best + adjective

If the word is one syllable only, you add -est at the end of the word. Don’t forget to always put « the » before the adjective

the + adjective + -est

Ex :

this ice cream is the best I have eaten in years = cette glace est la meilleure que j’ai mangé depuis des années.

this album is the worst the band have ever made = cet album est le pire que le groupe n’ait jamais fait

the amazon is the longest river in the world
