This text is about a young brown bear called Yuri.Yuri was born in winter , and one day while his mother was hibernating in her den in a Russian forest while Yuri was only a few weeks old , some hunters came and sent dogs into the den . Yuri’s mother tried to protect her cub but when she got out of the den she was shot by hunters. Every year , between 3,000 and 4,000 brown bears are killed like this . Luckily Yuri was found by one of the hunters and got taken care of at The Russian Bear Orphanage . So far , over a hundred bears have been saved by the orphanage.
